BRAD LLOYD
DIRECTOR
Brad Lloyd is a highly respected leader in Australian football, with over two decades of experience spanning playing, recruiting, list management, and executive leadership roles at AFL clubs. Known for his integrity, football acumen and strategic thinking.
Lloyd’s career began as a player. He was a midfielder for Hawthorn in the late 1990s and won the prestigious Gardiner Medal in the VFL. Following his playing days, he transitioned into off-field roles, quickly establishing himself as a skilled recruiter and list manager.
He spent a decade at the Fremantle Football Club as List Manager where he was instrumental in building a competitive list and refining the club’s talent identification processes. His work laid the foundation for a sustained period of finals appearances for the Dockers.
In 2018, Lloyd was appointed Head of Football at Carlton Football Club. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing all aspects of the club’s football department, including coaching, performance, medical, and player development. His tenure coincided with a significant rebuild and strategic transformation of the club, culminating in a return to finals contention.
Brad Lloyd is widely regarded for his calm leadership style, strong values, and deep understanding of the AFL industry. He continues to contribute to the game through advisory, leadership, and mentoring roles, helping shape the next generation of football leaders and high-performing environments.
